Apply for the LEE IAF Fellowship opportunity: Leadership for Educational Equity [LEE] is excited to launch a special new organizing fellowship in partnership with the Industrial Areas Foundation [IAF]. We have three available placements in San Antonio, Baton Rouge, and the Rio Grande Valley. The application is now live, and is open until Aug. 9, with a timeline targeting a start date in October 2013. Community organizing fellows will benefit from a full-time, six-month job placement with an Industrial Areas Foundation organization. The IAF is the nation's largest and longest-standing network of local faith and community-based organizations. Fellows will gain professional development and learning opportunities while working with the IAF affiliate. The fellowship is a six month paid position that lasts from October 2013 through April 2014. During the fellowship, Fellows will leverage their skills in relationship building and empathy to identify leaders and work with lead organizers with their host organization. This is a great opportunity for LEE members who are looking to gain meaningful work experience in the field of community organizing. Members can apply to the fellowship here. If you are not yet a LEE member, you can register here. The deadline is to submit a full application is August 9, 2013. Please feel free to reach out to Katy Jayne ( Katy.Jayne@educationalequity.org) with any questions about the Community Organizing Fellowship or the application.
